KBR FORMS CANADIAN ALLIANCE WITH EASTPOINT ENGINEERING
NOVA SCOTIA - KBR's Production Services group and EastPoint Engineering have formed a strategic alliance in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The alliance, in the form of a project teaming agreement, formalizes the two companies' commitment to working together to pursue upstream petrochemical opportunities in Atlantic Canada. KBR is the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton (NYSE:HAL). EastPoint Engineering is an employee- owned, Halifax-based, engineering and construction management company.
Production Services and Eastpoint are leaders in their respective markets and have a shared commitment to excellence in the pursuit of Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) performance. Both also share a commitment to successfully develop their business through delivery of quality engineering and construction based on the delivery of best value to their clients.
While both companies will provide experienced and competent personnel who will work as an integrated team, EastPoint Engineering will operate as a sub-contractor to KBR.
Eastpoint Engineering brings significant local knowledge and expertise to the alliance. All work carried out under the agreement will be performed within the confines of KBR's Production Services Management System - a comprehensive and fully-integrated management system which incorporates business, quality and HS&E management, providing a high level of assurance to our existing and potential customers.
KBR is already established in the EastPoint Halifax offices and plans to introduce their well-established graduate development and training program to the alliance team in Nova Scotia.
