KBR TO OPEN NORTH OF ENGLAND SUPPORT OFFICE
ABERDEEN - KBR's Aberdeen-based Production Services group, announced today that it is opening a new operations support office in the North of England to support new business growth in the area. KBR is the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton (NYSE:HAL).
Opening in early September, the new office will accommodate an initial team of more than 20-people, half of whom will be recruited locally. The size of the team is likely to grow as KBR business in the area increases.
The office will be located at the prestigious Heath Business and Technical Park - the former ICI headquarters - in Runcorn. This site was chosen primarily due to its central location and good connections to the airport and motorways.
"We hope that this move will demonstrate to the local business community KBR's commitment to the North West." said Bob Keiller, KBR Production Services UK Operations Director. "We preceded this step with a successful vendors' forum at the Maritime Museum in Liverpool in November last year where we met many of the companies that we hope to work with in this area."
