BENTONITE PERFORMANCE MINERALS INTRODUCES
WATER CLARIFICATION AND PHOSPHORUS REMOVAL PRODUCT
DENVER, Colorado - Bentonite Performance Minerals (BPM), a product service line of Halliburton Energy Services (HES), is launching its BARACLEAR™ P80 water clarification product to the North America water features market. The product line is BPM's most recent innovation and marks its entry into the multi-billion dollar water treatment industry. Halliburton Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL).
A first generation time-release water clarification and contaminant removal product, BARACLEAR P80 technology represents safe, patented formulations of long-used traditional water solutions. In addition to improving water quality, the Wyoming bentonite in the BARACLEAR P80 technology can be used to seal earthen ponds. The backyard earthen pond market is a fast growing segment of the water features market with the potential for double-digit growth over the next five years.
BARACLEAR P80 product technology was introduced last year to industrial manufacturers, fish farmers, livestock farmers, public water works managers, reservoir managers, golf course superintendents and private ponds owners to enhance phosphorus removal. The product can be used in relatively high energy flow regimes or circulating systems, and for a range of pond sizes from hundreds of gallons to hundreds of thousands of gallons. The tablet form of BARACLEAR P80 is easier for the pond owners to use than the traditional liquid or slurry water clarification products.
