KBR WINS JOB ORDER CONTRACT WITH DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY

ARLINGTON, Virginia - Kellogg Brown & Root's (KBR) Government Operations division has been awarded a Job Order Contract (JOC) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). KBR is the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL).

The DIA contract is valued at $12.5 million over five years, with a one-year base period and four one-year options. The work includes facilities upgrades, alterations, renovations, repairs and minor construction throughout their facility.

KBR is a leader in facility maintenance supporting a variety of clients including Department of Defense facilities, Department of State, National Institutes of Health, NASA, Army, Navy and Air Force installations, and state and local governments.

Tom Crum, KBR's Chief Operating Officer, discussed the significance of the contract: "In May of 2000 we moved our Government Operations from Houston to the Washington area to better align with and support our government clients. I am especially pleased to add the DIA to our client base."

Said Susannah Finch, a former US Navy Lieutenant from the Civil Engineer Corps and Project General Manager for the program, "This strategic win amplifies the importance of the best practices and experience we have gained supporting the Navy through their worldwide Construction Capabilities (CONCAP) project, as well as on the Department of State Worldwide Embassy Security Upgrade program."
