HALLIBURTON KBR VICE PRESIDENT NAMED ONE OF 50 KEY WOMEN IN ENERGY

HOUSTON, Texas - Halliburton KBR's Tamara Walker Blair, vice president of Downstream Operations & Maintenance, has been selected as one of the 50 Key Women in Energy. Halliburton KBR is the engineering and construction segment of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL). Awards will be presented at the 50 Key Women in Energy Awards Ceremony during the E-World of Energy International Trade Fair and Congress, February 14th in Essen, Germany. Blair began her career at Halliburton KBR as a process engineer designing refineries, petrochemical facilities and offshore platforms. She rose through the ranks of this male-dominated industry to become vice president of Downstream Operations and Maintenance.

Halliburton KBR president and CEO Randy Harl said: "Tammy leads a management team and staff of approximately 8,000. Throughout her career, she has led numerous initiatives that have helped to improve the way we do our business."

One of Blair's initiatives involves encouraging her employees to enter into value-based relationships with customers.

"Today, service companies are being asked to assume greater risk and contribute more value to their customers" said Blair. "I believe the best way to accomplish that is by empowering employees to abandon comfortable old traditions and to embrace new ways of adding value to the customer."

The 50 Key Women in Energy Awards is hosted by Commodities Now magazine, in association with Linda Rader and corporate sponsors Accenture and Jacobs Consultancy.

Halliburton KBR is an international, technology-based engineering and construction company, which provides a full spectrum of industry-leading services for governments, public infrastructure and to the hydrocarbon, chemical, energy, and forest products industries.
