HALLIBURTON EXTENDS CAPABILITY OF REAL TIME RESERVOIR DATA MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY
Houston, Texas - Halliburton's (NYSE: HAL) position as the Real Time Reservoir SolutionsSM (RTRS) leader is stronger than ever with the release of its new INSITE AnywhereSM service. This next- generation web delivery system provides real-time access to well data, enabling asset teams to make faster, better decisions about their projects.
Using Halliburton's advanced HalLinkSM communications network or any other network, the system allows the operator to pull together data from all the Halliburton well construction and completion services it uses. All data is viewed through a secure INSITE Anywhere website and can be customized by the user to provide different views required by the different services.
"Now, as part of Halliburton's RTRS strategy, the INSITE Anywhere suite offers easier access, simpler operations and greater capability than before," said Alvaro Escorcia, director of Real Time Reservoir Solutions, Halliburton Energy Services Group. "Asset teams can integrate all of Halliburton's wellsite services and solutions into a single source and even control multiple well site operations from one location, saving travel time and money, and improving wellsite safety as a result of reducing the need for personnel to travel to the well site."
The INSITE Anywhere service was the industry's first service to offer real-time access to well data over the Internet. The system has been improved to enable operators to collaborate with a team in real time, manage situations as they arise, make faster and smarter decisions, and deploy expertise and resources more efficiently.
The only technical requirements for utilizing the INSITE Anywhere system are Internet or intranet access and a standard, Java™-enabled web browser.
