HALLIBURTON INTRODUCES TROPHY SEAL
- New Economical Valve System Developed for "Fit-For-Purpose" Performance -
DALLAS, Texas - Halliburton Energy Services announced today the launch of Trophy Seal™ enhanced floating equipment, at the 2002 Global Petroleum Show in Calgary. Complementing the Super Seal II™ capabilities, Trophy Seal completes the Halliburton float valve and float collar product lines by economically fulfilling the requirements of lower pressure and lower temperature well strings without sacrificing PDC drillability, flow durability and overall reliability. Halliburton Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton (NYSE: HAL).
"Trophy Seal completes a line of equipment that matches the industry's need," said Gary Moore, vice president, Halliburton. "Trophy Seal is a 'fit-for-purpose' valve system and therefore a more economical alternative to any other system. The Trophy Seal line has been designed for 80 percent of the strings in onshore wells while Super Seal II serves the higher temperature, higher pressure strings."
Trophy Seal equipment uses the pioneering poppet valve design concept from the Super Seal II line and is now available for less harsh environments.
