HALLIBURTON SUBSEA ACHIEVES ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATION
DALLAS, Texas - Halliburton Subsea, a business unit of Halliburton's (NYSE: HAL) Energy Services Group, recently achieved certification to the new quality management systems standard ISO 9001:2000.
Certification was achieved during Halliburton Subsea's triennial ISO 9001 certification renewal assessment by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Certification Limited in early October 2001.
John Smith, vice president, Halliburton Subsea said, "We are delighted to achieve certification to this new standard and understand that we are the first subsea contractor to do so. The new emphasis is on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, and at Halliburton Subsea we are clear that our customers' success is our success."
Scope of the certification is as follows: engineering, project management, and subsea construction, and the provision of underwater contracting, construction, ROV, survey, inspection, and position services, as well as design and manufacture of robotic systems, remote intervention tooling, and pipeline bundles.
Halliburton's Energy Services Group (ESG) delivers real-time systems, technologies, and services to the upstream oil and gas industry. The Halliburton Subsea segment of ESG provides comprehensive subsea engineering, installation, and construction with a fleet of 84 ROVs, six construction and survey class Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessels, three construction class DP semi-submersibles and an array of subsea production equipment.
