HALLIBURTON SUBSEA AWARDED KERR-MCGEE SOUTH GRYPHON CONTRACT

DALLAS, Texas - Halliburton Subsea, a business unit of Halliburton Company's (NYSE: HAL) Energy Services Group, has been awarded a contract by Kerr-McGee North Sea (U.K.) Limited. The contract, worth nearly $3 million (U.S.), will include the installation, testing and pre-commissioning of subsea facilities for a Gryphon Field step-out well.

"This work continues the strong working relationship between Kerr-McGee and Halliburton Subsea," said Edgar Ortiz, Halliburton's Energy Services Group president and chief executive officer, "and continues to complement our ongoing Leadon subsea work."

The project workscope will comprise the installation and tie-back of a single production well. A single production line and an associated direct hydraulic umbilical and gas lift line will also be installed, together with a protection frame around the well. The well is located approximately 1,800 meters southwest of the existing Gryphon cluster. The new 6-in. flexible production line and new chemical/gas lift umbilical will be laid, trenched and backfilled from well SG to the existing Gryphon cluster. Installation is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
