DRESSER EQUIPMENT GROUP OFFERS WIRELESS SOLUTIONS FOR DATA RETRIEVAL
HOUSTON, Texas - Instrument-DMD-ROOTS (IDR) Division, Dresser Equipment Group, Inc., will soon offer wireless solutions in retrieving and communicating data and information from its various product systems.
"This transition from offering wired communications via modems with phone systems to wireless solutions worldwide via cellular and satellite is a truly exciting step," says IDR Division President Al Luke. "It enhances our capability in offering our customers total systems solutions from absolutely anywhere on the planet."
Initially, in cooperation with Cybersensor, Inc, Nashville, TN, the company has installed a Cybersensor field unit, enabling the automatic measurement of natural gas flow from a Dresser® ROOTS® Measurement Data System and the subsequent transfer of that data via satellite to the World Wide Web. From here, it can be viewed from any computer in the world utilizing an Internet browser.
Dresser Measurement Data Systems incorporate ROOTS® Meters, Dresser couplings and valves and ROOTS® Micro Corrector technology.
IDR Division is a leading supplier of natural gas meters and electronic products for natural gas distribution systems.
