HALLIBURTON COMPANY AND SHAWCOR LTD. ANNOUNCE THE COMPLETION OF COMMERCIAL RESIN DE MEXICO, S.A. DE C.V. PURCHASE
DALLAS, Texas and TORONTO, Ontario - Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) and ShawCor Ltd. (TSE: SCL.A, SCL.B) announced today that their joint venture entity, Bredero-Shaw, has completed the acquisition of 66.7% of Commercial Resin de México, S.A. de C.V., currently the largest pipe coater in Mexico.
Commercial Resin de México's pipe coating facilities are located adjacent to the Tubacero pipe mill in Monterey, Mexico, and adjacent to the Tamsa pipe mill in Veracruz, Mexico. Bredero-Shaw's technology, products and deepwater capabilities will significantly enhance Commercial Resin de México's range of products, currently being offered to its domestic market, as well as to markets in Central and South America.
Bredero-Shaw is the world's leading pipeline coatings solutions provider operating 32 plants in 16 countries. The transfer of deepwater capabilities to Commercial Resin de Mexico will further enhance the ability of Bredero-Shaw to play a leading global role in challenging deepwater pipeline applications.
