HALLIBURTON COMPANY AND SHAW INDUSTRIES LTD. ANNOUNCE COMPLETION OF THERMOTITE A/S PURCHASE
DALLAS, Texas and TORONTO, Ontario - Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL) and Shaw Industries Ltd. (TSE: SHL.A, SHL.B) announced today that their joint venture entity, Bredero-Shaw, has completed the acquisition of Thermotite A/S, a Norwegian entity specializing in custom designed flow assurance insulation systems for subsea and deepwater pipeline applications.
Thermotite’s technologies, products and capabilities significantly enhance the range of new deepwater products currently being offered worldwide by Bredero-Shaw, and has the potential to strengthen the capabilities of the deepwater base presently under construction at Mobile, Alabama.
Bredero-Shaw is the world’s leading pipeline coatings solutions provider operating 32 plants in 16 countries. Investments in deepwater facilities and technologies will provide Bredero-Shaw with the ability to play a leading role in challenging deepwater pipeline applications.
Shaw Industries Ltd. is a major supplier to the energy industry providing products and services for exploration and production, pipeline, petrochemical and industrial markets.
