HALLIBURTON ENERGY SERVICES PREVAILS IN PATENT
INFRINGEMENT JUDGMENT IN TEXAS DISTRICT COURT
HOUSTON, Texas - The United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas has issued a judgment against American Energy Services and in favor of Halliburton Energy Services, Inc., a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL), upholding the validity of its U.S. Patent No. 5,775,425 entitled "Control of Fine Particulate Flowback in Subterranean Wells."
The judgment permanently restrains and enjoins American Energy Services from doing or authorizing, directly or indirectly, activities which infringe upon the '425 patent by itself or in combination with others.
Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. was also awarded monetary damages.
