REPRESENTATIVE KEVIN BRADY HONORED FOR EXEMPLARY VOTING ON KEY MANUFACTURING ISSUES

-Halliburton calls U.S. Rep. Brady a "True Friend to the People Who Make Things in America"-

DALLAS, Texas - This afternoon at Halliburton's North Belt Manufacturing Center, United States Representative Kevin Brady was presented with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence in recognition of his consistent support of American manufacturers and their employees. Galen Cobb, director Industry Relations of Halliburton's Energy Services Group, presented the award to the congressman.

The award is given by the NAM - one of the nation's largest and most influential business groups - to senators and representatives based on their voting records on key legislation affecting the manufacturing community. Its recipients have shown support for a pro-growth, pro-manufacturing, pro-worker agenda. Members of Congress are notified throughout the congressional session of votes that will be considered as "key votes" used to determine eligibility for the award. This marks the second time that the NAM has given the award.

Key manufacturing votes for the 106th Congress include permanent normal trade relations with China, tax cuts, trade expansion and e-commerce expansion, among others.

"On behalf of Halliburton Company and the other manufacturers in NAM, I thank Rep. Brady for championing the causes that will allow U.S. manufactures and their employees to continue to drive our economy to new heights," Cobb concluded.

Following the award presentation, Rep. Brady toured Halliburton's North Belt Manufacturing Center, where approximately 900 people support the development and manufacture of high technology logging while drilling (LWD) and wireline logging equipment used to evaluate oil and gas well reservoirs. Halliburton Company has been an active member of NAM since 1940, with Jody Powers, president of Halliburton Energy Services, currently serving on its national board of directors.

Founded in 1919, Halliburton Company is the world's leading diversified energy services, engineering, energy equipment, construction and maintenance company.
