HALLIBURTON DELIVERS NEW REAL TIME MRI RESERVOIR FLUIDS ANALYSIS AT THE WELLSITE

-MRI Fluids Analysis, with NUMAR's New PrimeTime Log Reservoir Description Report, Get Results on Location in Real Time-

DALLAS, Texas - Halliburton Energy Services, through its NUMAR product service line, recently announced the global commercialization of its MRIL® PrimeTime™ log product, providing enhanced reservoir fluids analysis at the well site. The PrimeTime log product is provided specifically in conjunction with NUMAR's current MRIL®-Prime™ tool technology. Halliburton Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).

MRIL® PrimeTime information is obtained in real time as the tool is being run. The information consists of direct Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) measurements and interpreted analysis, and typically define net/gross sand feet, pore size distributions, total porosity, effective porosity, clay porosity, net permeability feet, permeability, net hydrocarbon feet of each reservoir, as well as gas and oil saturations in the flushed zone. Statistical quality assurance indicators also allow for insight as to the degree of certainty in the information provided to the end user.

"NUMAR's PrimeTime log is yet another example of Halliburton delivering on its commitment to real time reservoir solutions and reservoir description reports for our clients," said Jody Powers, Halliburton Energy Services president. "Continuing to provide the finest MRI measurement technology is central to bringing about greater efficiencies in rig time utilization and enhanced well productivity."

Unlike other magnetic resonance technology offerings, the PrimeTime log utilizes the unique multiple frequency technology of NUMAR's MRIL-Prime tool, takes direct measurements and provides pertinent reservoir formation evaluation analysis, in real time, in the field. Using analysis methods similar to those used in the medical industry for patient diagnosis, results are immediately made possible through the tool's ability to incorporate multiple measurement wait times and inter-echo spacing measurements into a single log pass in the well.

The Halliburton Energy Services NUMAR product service line is the world leader in employing MRI technology for oil and gas exploration and development. NUMAR's Magnetic Resonance Imaging Logging (MRIL®) service measures several key factors that influence the ability of a well to produce commercial quantities of oil or gas more accurately than other available methods. More information can be found on NUMAR's homepage at http://www.halliburton.com/numar.
