HALLIBURTON INTRODUCES NEWLY DESIGNED
CEMENTING UNITS TO MEET STRONG DEMAND
DALLAS, Texas - Halliburton Energy Services, the world leader in cementing services, announced today the introduction of two new cementing unit designs that will integrate the proven pumping and mixing systems its customers have come to expect, with innovative safety and technologically-advanced features. As a result of the growing demand for the company's products and services, more than 60 new cementing units - consisting of the Elite™ model, along with the Precision™ model - will be manufactured and deployed throughout North America over the next 12 months. Halliburton Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL).
"As we see the energy industry grow, so has the demand for reliable cementing systems that encompass the highest possible safety and job quality features," said Jody Powers, president of Halliburton Energy Services. "Initial feedback on the Elite and the Precision units has been very positive. We believe that our customers will continue to be pleased with the features in the new cementing units that will be unmatched in the industry."
The Elite cementing system includes several of Halliburton's proprietary elements such as RCMIIe™ mixing technology, with the ADC™ Automatic Density system and the industry-standard HT-400™ pumps. A new PC-based controller allows the operator to more easily manage data and job quality at the site. Integrating easily with OptiCem RT™ (Real-Time), the unit allows for real-time job data capture and transmission, along with a comparison to the job design. The Elite cementing system also includes innovative new safety features like pull-down steps, enclosed mixing tanks and additional working space for the operator.
The Precision cementing unit comprises the proven RCMIIe mixer, and a single HT-400 pump with up to 350 hydraulic horsepower. This body-load unit incorporates a hydraulically powered hose-reel to improve rig-up safety and speed. In contrast to other units in its class, the Precision cementing unit also includes an independent two-compartment mixing tank for improved slurry integrity and separate displacement tanks for efficient fluid displacement.
