CONGRESSMAN J.C. WATTS TO TOUR HALLIBURTON FACILITY, ADDRESS MANUFACTURING CONCERNS
DALLAS, Texas and DUNCAN, Oklahoma - The Halliburton Energy Services' Duncan division is proud to welcome Congressman J.C. Watts, on Friday, August 18, as he tours the company's facilities and addresses current issues affecting the manufacturing industry. Perry Owens, senior regional manager of the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM), will accompany Representative Watts. Halliburton Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).
Upon arrival, Representative Watts and Owens will tour the Halliburton manufacturing facility and observe the assembly of the HCT Precision Cementing Truck, one of Halliburton's newest pieces of rolling equipment that will be available to operators this fall. The truck is specially designed to offer efficiency, mobility and the proven reliability of Halliburton pumping and mixing equipment in a fully capable, compact unit that meets the cementing needs of an expanding customer base.
Immediately following the facility visit, Representative Watts will join local business leaders and Halliburton employees for lunch at the Halliburton Energy Institute (HEI). The congressman will address the audience of nearly 200 regarding some of the changes and policies being implemented in Washington that could affect business and manufacturing in the near future.
J.C. Watts, Jr. was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for Oklahoma's Fourth District in November 1994. When he began his third term, Congressman Watts was elected by his colleagues to serve as House Republican Conference Chairman. The representative also serves on the Armed Services Committee, and is a member of the Morale, Welfare and Recreational Panel.
Jody Powers, the President of Halliburton Energy Services, was recently named to serve on the National Association of Manufacturing (NAM) Board of Directors. The NAM, founded in 1895, is the leading voice for manufacturing in the U.S. today. The organization is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
