HALLIBURTON FORMS NUMAR TEAM TO PROVIDE PINNACLE LEVEL NMR SERVICES
HOUSTON, Texas - Halliburton Energy Services, a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL), has established a team of experts in magnetic resonance imaging logging (MRIL®) to further enhance its ongoing work in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) services. NUMAR Team One will focus on increasing the levels of excellence as it specifically addresses global oil and gas industry demands for a readily accessible resource to support usage of NMR technology in reservoir evaluation.
The team's comprehensive activities regularly provide better optimization of the NMR service through pre-planning expertise and interaction with the client, all the way through final answer product delivery and communication of the vast information provided by MRIL® technology. NUMAR's MRIL® tool is utilized in the open hole logging process to accurately provide a wide variety of reservoir fluids information, such as mineralogy independent porosity, revelation of hard-to-find pay zones, revelation of zones of water-free production and identification of hydrocarbons.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Halliburton Company, NUMAR is the recognized leader in NMR formation evaluation services for oil and gas exploration and development.
NUMAR team members include Team Leader Charles Siess, Maged Fam, Dave Marschall, and Dr. Ron Bonnie.
"A recent survey revealed that 86 percent of NMR users cited availability to experts, such as those on the NUMAR team, as critical," said Jody Powers, president, Halliburton Energy Services. "Consequently, formation of this team is in response to this critical need by our customers."
The newly created NUMAR Team will work with clients to assist through the complete NMR product cycle from pre-planning their NMR formation evaluation program, to directing and monitoring the service execution programs, verifying data quality and analysis methods and delivery with detailed explanation of the reservoir answer products.
