DUNCAN LOGISTICS TEAM REACHES 1500 ACCIDENT-FREE WORK DAYS

DUNCAN, Oklahoma - Halliburton Energy Services' Duncan Manufacturing Shared Services Logistics Team celebrated 1,500 accident-free work days recently. Halliburton Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).

During the 1,500 accident-free days, the team shipped $707 million worth of material, ranging from small flow meters to skid-mounted cementing units. The work, performed indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather, required the use of a variety of equipment, including radial arm saws, nail guns, and forklift trucks, to name a few.

Team members attribute their success in achieving the record to teamwork and training, citing the following as key elements:
  • Asking for help when dealing with large or heavy products.
  • Looking out for each other. With the level of activity in this areas, no one person can see all the dangers.
  • Organizing properly staging and work areas.
  • Avoiding back injuries by using proper lifting techniques acquired from safety training.
Anthony Chandler and Wade Williams provided safety training for the team. At the celebration, Lyn Ferguson, director of Manufacturing, and Colin Mitchell, shared services center manager, congratulated the team and presented gifts of appreciation and a plaque to team members. The plaque, which lists each team member's name, is displayed in the main hallway of the Manufacturing Center as a reminder of this first-time accomplishment.

Team members are Beverly Bailey, Audley Barnes, Steve Bergeron, Rick Cast, Ray Clark, Bob Coffer, Jimmy Davidson, Leroy Davis, Paul Davis, Danny Duncan, Karen Fleming, Kenny Hupp, Paula Lamb, Mark Laminack, Don Moore, Karen Perry, Jeff Potts, Ricky Price, Glyna Scott, Danny Waldo and Marty Whitt.
