Halliburton Subsidiary Appoints New President To DMD-ROOTS®

DALLAS, TX -Patrick Murray, president of Dresser Equipment Group, Inc., announced the appointment of Albert G. Luke to president of the recently consolidated DMD-ROOTS® Division. Dresser Equipment Group is a business segment of Halliburton Company, (NYSE: HAL).

Luke has a chemical engineering degree from Clarkson College and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School. He joined the M.W. Kellogg Company in 1982 and held several executive positions with that organization until his appointment to the position of staff vice president of Strategic Development for Dresser Industries.

In 1999, he joined the staff of Dresser Equipment Group in the same capacity and was promoted to president of the Instrument Division in August 1999. Luke succeeds Dean Pope, who has elected to pursue other interests outside of the company.

Formerly three separate divisions within Dresser Equipment Group, DMD-ROOTS® is a consolidation of Dresser ROOTS®, Dresser Instrument, and Dresser Manufacturing divisions.

ROOTS®, which originated in 1854, is a leader in blower technology. ROOTS®™ blowers, centrifugal compressors and vacuum pumps are used in many different ways in a broad range of industries. A few of its uses include ground water remediation, pneumatic conveying of raw materials, ash conveying, flue desulfurization, and ventilation.

Founded in 1852, Dresser Instrument is recognized worldwide as a leader in pressure and temperature measurement control.
