Dresser Equipment Group Consolidates Three Divisions
Houston, TX -Three divisions within Dresser Equipment Group, Inc. have merged to take advantage of synergistic opportunities designed to add value for customers, shareholders, and employees. Dresser Equipment Group is a business segment of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL). The three divisions comprising the merger are DMD, ROOTS®, and Instrument.
The consolidation serves an extensive range of industries including natural gas, pulp and paper, chemical process, petroleum and chemical, primary metals, automotive, and utilities. For many years, each division has been a leading global supplier of its own line of products.
DMD, the original Dresser Company which began in 1880, is a leading supplier of gas meters, pipe couplings, and regulators.
ROOTS®, which originated in 1854, is a leader in blower technology. ROOTS® blowers, centrifugal compressors and vacuum pumps are used in many different ways in a broad range of industries. A few of its uses include ground water remediation, pneumatic conveying of raw materials, pulp and paper, ash conveying, flue desulfurization, and ventilation.
The Instrument Division is recognized worldwide as a leader in pressure and temperature measurement control. With the broad Ashcroft®, Heise®, Weksler®, Willy®, and Ebro® product lines, the Instrument Division has set the standard for accuracy, quality and dependability in pressure and temperature measurement.
