DALLAS, TX - Dresser Equipment Group, Inc.'s Wayne Division, a leader in the design and development of technology for the retail petroleum industry, announced that it recently entered into a three-year global dispenser supply agreement with BP Amoco. The regions and countries of the world that will benefit from this agreement include the USA, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Japan, China, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Dresser Equipment Group is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).
Patrick Murray, president of Dresser Equipment Group, said, "We are excited with the opportunity to expand our relationship with BP Amoco. Our history of industry leading product development and the depth of our global operations match up well with BP Amoco's scope and direction."
Dr. Neil Yates, BP Amoco global strategic procurement manager, Retail Assets, said, "The critical factors in our selection of Wayne as a strategic supplier were its history of technical leadership, ability to work closely with us to develop leading market applications, and experience in supporting global programs."
A key element in the selection process was Wayne's history of being first to market with new products and technology.
The Wayne TRAC radio frequency transponder activation system, and the iMeter are all recent evidence of Wayne's leadership. This trend will continue with the release of a new dispenser utilizing a PC processor, Microsoft Windows CE operating system, Ethernet communications, and web-based screen management. These new tools will enhance dispenser user interface and add cost reducing remote diagnostic capabilities.
