DRESSER WAYNE ANNOUNCES NEW DIVISION LEADERSHIP
HOUSTON, Texas - Dresser Equipment Group, Inc. (DEG), announced the appointment of John P. Ryan to president of its Wayne Division effective immediately. Wayne Division is a leading supplier of technologically advanced gasoline dispensing equipment, point-of-sale and outdoor payment systems for the retail petroleum industry.
Ryan joined the Wayne sales team in 1987. He has served in various management roles, including president of Wayne U.S. since 1996. A graduate of Villanova University, Ryan was employed by Goulds Pumps prior to joining the Wayne team.
"John's commitment to teamwork and his leadership skills made him a choice candidate for the position," said Patrick Murray, president of Dresser Equipment Group.
Ryan replaces Jim Hilton, who is retiring in February. Hilton began his distinguished career with Dresser Industries in 1972 as chief engineer for the Package Compressor Division. In ensuing years, he held leadership and senior level management positions in various Dresser business units.
Ryan said, "I am looking forward to the challenges ahead. The retail petroleum market is rapidly changing and we are excited about the many opportunities for growth. One of the primary areas of my focus will be on continuing our efforts to build a truly global company."
