Brown & Root ENERGY SERVICES AWARDED THREE -YEAR CONTRACT BY KERR-MCGEE
HOUSTON, TX -Brown & Root Energy Services, a business unit of Halliburton Company, (NYSE:HAL) has been awarded an Engineering and Project Management Services Contract (EPMSC) by Kerr-McGee North Sea (U.K.) Limited.
The three-year contract, which includes two one-year options, is valued at around £12m (US$18m) and covers the provision of engineering and project management services for all Kerr-McGee's UK assets.
Commenting on the award, Randy Harl, president of Brown & Root Energy Services, said, "We are very pleased to be continuing and extending our relationship with Kerr-McGee. The UK is a highly competitive market place and this award underscores our ability to provide cost effective solutions in an operational environment."
The assets covered by the scope of the contract are the Ninian and Murchison platforms, Hutton TLP, the Janice FPU and the Gryphon FPSO.
Brown & Root Energy Services supplies engineering, construction, operations and maintenance services to the upstream oil and gas industry worldwide. Its primary role is the engineering, project management, construction and operation of the facilities that are utilized for the production and transportation of oil and gas.
