Halliburton’s Wellstream Awarded API Monogram License
DALLAS, TX - Wellstream, a division of Brown & Root Energy Services, has become the first unbonded flexible pipe manufacturer to be awarded the coveted American Petroleum Institute API 17J monogram license. Both its Panama City, Florida and Newcastle upon Tyne, UK facilities received the award following extensive audits of their Quality Systems throughout all areas of operation. Brown & Root Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE : HAL).

API 17J (Specification for Unbonded Flexible Pipe) was published in December 1996 following a 2 year Joint Industry Project in which Wellstream participated. It provides a worldwide industry standard specification for the design, material selection, manufacture, testing, marking and packaging of flexible pipes.
