Seaforth Maritime Wins £24 Million Logistics Support Contract

Dallas, Texas - Seaforth Maritime, Brown & Root Energy Services' (BRES) supply chain management company, has won a £24 million contract ($38 million US dollars) from Kerr McGee believed to be the largest integrated logistics package to be tendered in the UK in recent years. Brown & Root Energy Services is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL).

The contract encompasses a range of support for Kerr McGee's Ninian, Hutton, Murchison, Gryphon and Janice installations - as well as the operator's drilling activities - for three years with a further two-year option.

The work, which is due to commence early this year, will cover vessel provision and management, inventory management, warehousing and quayside operations.

Commenting on the contract win, BRES president Larry Farmer said: "This is a significant contract win for Seaforth Maritime, and highlights how highly respected the company is in the marketplace for providing innovative supply chain management solutions."

Seaforth Maritime's general manager, Andy Bruce, said: "This is award marks the culmination of the hard work carried out by our acquisition and operations teams during an extremely competitive period in our industry."

"The last twelve months have seen us retain large volumes of work and secure significant new work, and we look forward to building on this success in the future," said Bruce.

The Kerr McGee contract award comes on the back of Seaforth Maritime's recent contract win to provide logistics support to former British Gas company HRL in Morecambe Bay.
