Halliburton Energy Services Wins $35 MM Sand Control Job In Brunei
Houston, Texas (October 26, 1999) - Halliburton Energy Services, a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL), has been awarded a contract by Brunei Shell Petroleum to provide sand control and completion services for all of the fields currently operated by BSP in Brunei. These include Champion, Southwest Ampa, Seria, Magpie, Fairley, Fairley Baram, Iron Duke, Rasau, Gannet, Enggang and Peragam. Under a contract valued at (US) $35 million, HES will provide all completion products and pumping services for sand control.
"This contract, combined with other recent HES wins in Brunei for directional drilling and drilling fluids, secures a strong position for us as a major supplier to Shell in Brunei for years to come," said Edgar Ortiz, president, Halliburton Energy Services.
