DMD DIVISION LAUNCHES NEW LINE OF VOLUME CORRECTORS
DALLAS, Texas - Dresser Equipment Group's DMD Division today launched its new line of volume correctors: the ROOTS® Micro Corrector. Dresser Equipment Group is a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).
The three basic models—the Model PT, Model PTZ, and Model PTZ + Log—can be configured eight different ways: P, PZ, PT, PTZ, P + Log, PZ + Log, PT + Log, and PTZ + Log. (P = Pressure, T = Temperature, Z = Supercompressibility). The log option offers 10 days of hourly logs, 40 days of daily logs, and 15 months of monthly logs.
The new ROOTS® Micro Corrector measures live pressure and temperature to calculate correct volume. As a customer moves up the model line, the ROOTS® Micro Corrector has added capabilities including supercompressibility calculations (SGERG 88/AGA 8 Gross Characterization Method) and data/audit logging functions.
The ROOTS® Micro Corrector is the smallest and lightest volume corrector on the market today, weighing 1.25 Kg. (2 lbs., 12 oz.) and measuring 160 mm (6-1/4 in.) in width. It mounts on the instrument drive of rotary, turbine, and diaphragm meters and is meter bracket, wall, or pipe mountable. The instrument drive adapter is available as a separate item. This allows customers to stock the smaller, less expensive wall mount version and convert to instrument drive only when required. The front panel has an "easy-to-push" button scrolling capability, eliminating the need for magnets.
