DRESSER WAYNE LAUNCHES VIP PROGRAM—RETAIL SOLUTION FOR FUEL MARKETING
Austin, Texas - Dresser Wayne®, a leader in the design and development of service station automation systems, has developed the VIP Program for the High Volume Retail (HVR) market. Wayne is a division of the Dresser Equipment Group, a business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE: HAL).

Working with AutoGas®, an HVR systems provider, Wayne developed the VIP program to enable retailers to tie in-store promotions to fuel pricing. In additional to offering coupons for discounts on packaged goods based on in-store purchases, the VIP program gives the retailer the option to offer fuel discounts in the form of bar-coded coupons that can be scanned at the fuel dispenser. Wayne's patent pending dispenser bar code scanner, Wayne SCAN, reads the coupon and discounts the price of the fuel based on the amount of the coupon. Wayne SCAN is capable of scanning loyalty cards and discount cards, as well as coupons.
