DMD DRESSER MEASUREMENT DIVISION ANNOUNCES THE ROOTS® METER SERIES B3-HPC HIGH PRESSURE CARTRIDGE ROTARY METERS
Dallas, Texas - Dresser Equipment Group's DMD Division, Measurement Operation, introduces the ROOTS® Meter Series B3-HPC. The High Pressure Cartridge Meter is available in two sizes, the 1M and 3M, for highly accurate gas measurement to 1480 psig. The 1M and 3M High Pressure Cartridge rotary meters provide measurement solutions to other obsolete positive displacement style meters, oversized inferential style meters, or less accurate styles of insertion inferential meters. As with other ROOTS® Rotary Positive Displacement Gas Meters, gas volumes are displaced by two figure 8 impellers rotating in a chamber of known volume.
The High Pressure Cartridge design meters are suitable for gas measurement of low volume applications at high pressures. Recommended applications include: custody transfer in gas distribution systems, custody transfer in gathering systems, custody transfer in transmission systems, town border measurement, direct wellhead production measurement, gas leg of production separators, test separators, compressor fuel gas measurement, and high pressure industrial gas measurement.
In addition to being documented to ANSI B 109.3 specifications for rotary type gas displacement meters, the High Pressure Cartridge design meters meet NACE standard MR 1075 for corrosion resistant applications. Additional features include: capacities from 1000 to 3000 scfh at 4 ounces inlet pressure—at elevated inlet pressures the maximum capacities increase directly with the Boyle's Law pressure multiplier factor; meter body and flanges rated at 740 or 1480 psig; measurement range of 38 to 1 within plus or minus 1 percent (the measurement range increases significantly at elevated pressures); measuring cartridge design for ease of repair and maintenance; integral or ID mount Volume Correction Computer (VCC®); compatibility to a wide assortment of pulsing devices and auxiliary instrumentation for ROOTS® products.
