Halliburton Company Donates $30,000 To Venezuelan Relief Fund
Company Providing Trucks to Venezuelan Consulate General to Transport Materials to the Airport and Port of Houston
Houston, Texas - Halliburton Company will donate $30,000 to the Venezuelan Relief Fund. Halliburton Company employs more than 1,200 people in Venezuela, and donations are being made through relief funds set up in Houston and Venezuela. Employees in both areas are also collecting food, medical supplies and clothing to send for relief efforts.
In addition, Halliburton Company is providing trucks and fork lifts to move donated supplies from the Venezuelan Consulate General's offices to the airport and Port of Houston, so that the much needed relief materials make it Venezuela in a timely manner.
"We are deeply saddened by the tragedy in Venezuela and want to do our part to help the people affected by this catastrophe," said David Reamer, senior vice president, Halliburton Shared Services. "Halliburton is the third largest employer in the Houston area, and we take seriously our role as a corporate leader in this community as well as other places around the world, like Venezuela, where we conduct business."
