Subsea International Awarded Contract For ROV Drilling Support For Pennzenergy Garden Banks 161 Project
Houston, Texas (October 15, 1999) - As a division of Brown & Root Energy Services, SubSea International has been providing ongoing remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services to support PennzEnergy's Garden Banks 161 completion program.
Along with a number of other Halliburton Product Service Lines (PSLs), SubSea's SuperScorpio 2 ROV system was mobilized aboard the drilling vessel Ocean Ambassador to participate in the two well completion program in approximately 965 feet of water. The other Halliburton PSLs include Pumping, Service Tools, Lift Frame, Cased Hole Logging, Completion/TCP tools, Frac Pack, Coiled tubing, Slickline and Big Bore Invention Tree and Surface Cleanup Services. This contract marks the first milestone for the bundled service approach for Halliburton ROV services.
SubSea International, which became a member of Halliburton Subsea (HS) following the Halliburton and Dresser merger, has been in operation since 1969, and has been building ROVs since 1984. A list of the company's successful accomplishments include the new design 120 HP deepwater 3,000 meter Hercules, and 150 HP ultra-deepwater 5,000 meter Hammerhead ROV systems.
