Subsea International Awarded ROV And Diving Servies Contract To European Marine Contractors For EPC 28 Project

Houston, Texas (October 14, 1999) - As a division of Brown & Root Energy Services, SubSea International has recently been awarded a 250 day contract from the European Marine Contractors (EMC) for work on the EPC 28 pipeline project in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico. Work scope includes survey services for the Castoro 10, tugs and survey vessel Seabulk Austin, air diving from the Castoro 10 and saturation diving from the Bar Protector.

The award indicates a successful commitment by SubSea International to increase remotely operated vehicles (ROV) related resources, bidding activity and awarded projects in the Gulf of Mexico. The EMC award adds to an impressive list of other recent awards involving ROV related services in the region.

SubSea International, which became a member of Halliburton Subsea (HS) following the Halliburton and Dresser merger, has been in operation since 1969, and has been building ROVs since 1984. A list of the company's successful accomplishments include the new design 120 HP deepwater 3,000 meter Hercules, and 150 HP ultra-deepwater 5,000 meter Hammerhead ROV systems.
