Subsea International Awarded ROV Service Contract To Oceanographia PEMEX Project
Houston, Texas (October 13, 1999) - As a division of Brown & Root Energy Services, SubSea International has recently been awarded a two and a half year contract in conjunction with Oceanografia S.A. for the inspection of Pemex pipelines in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico. SubSea International will be providing remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and positioning services.
The ROV will be a full survey class SubSea Centurion that has been brought into the Gulf of Mexico specifically for this project. Positioning services will be provided by SubSea's Veripos Inmarsat and HF DGPS network utilizing stations at Carmen, New Orleans and Houston. Work will be performed on a periodic basis, allowing the use of the vessel for other projects and clients in the interim.
SubSea International, which became a member of Halliburton Subsea (HS) following the Halliburton and Dresser merger, has been in operation since 1969, and has been building ROVs since 1984.
