Subsea International Continues ROV Drilling Support Contract For Burlington Resources In The Gulf Of Mexico
Houston, Texas (October 12, 1999) - As a division of Brown & Root Energy Services, SubSea International has been providing ongoing remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services to support Burlington Resources Inc.'s drilling program in the Gulf of Mexico.
Operating from onboard the semi-submersible Borgny Dolphin, SubSea International's ROV systems include a custom-built heavy weather launch and recovery system, a four-point guide wire cursor system and a Pioneer work-class ROV. Operations have progressed to the Garden Banks 281 Fiesta project in 584 feet of water.
SubSea International, which became a member of Halliburton Subsea (HS), following theHalliburton and Dresser merger, has operated onboard the Borgny Dolphin for the past six years. During that period, the company has maintained an excellent track record with only minimal ROV downtime.
