Shell EXPRO And NAM Award Major Completion Contract
HOUSTON, Texas - Halliburton Energy Services has been awarded a five-year contract by Shell U.K. Exploration and Production, operator in the U.K. sector of the North Sea for Shell and Esso, and NAM (Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij B.V.) for the management and delivery of completion equipment. The contract is valued at approximately USD $120 Million.
Halliburton will supply completion equipment for Shell Expro's northern and southern oil and gas developments in the UK sector and NAM's onshore and offshore developments in Holland. The equipment will include tubing and wireline-retrievable safety valves, sliding side doors, landing nipples, packers and water injection valves.
As part of the contract, a total materials management program will be put in place in which Halliburton will be responsible for ordering equipment based on drilling and completion schedules, manufacturing, storing and delivering the equipment, and managing and delivering third-party completion equipment.
