FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: November 7, 1996
Delta FRAC Introduced To Improve Productivity And Reduce Costs In Low Temperature Wells
HOUSTON, Texas (November 7, 1996) — Halliburton Energy Services has successfuly field tested and is now introducing Delta Frac -- a borate fracturing fluid for low temperature wells that can improve fracturing results and reduce total well stimulation costs.
The result of an advanced fluid technology effort at Halliburton, this new fracturing system provides high viscosity with lower gel concentrations than previously achieved in the industry. A 20-lb Delta Frac service gel provides about the same viscosity as a 30-lb conventional gel. Reduced polymer loading has been shown to help reduce formation damage and improve regained fracture conductivity.
Additionally, Delta Frac service enables fast, controlled, and complete breaks -- and the versatility to tailor a fluid system precisely to well conditions. The simplicity and ease of mixing this new system can help reduce time on location and helps support Halliburton's commitment to quality assurance in the delivery of its products and services.
Designed for wells with BHTs up to 140°F, Delta Frac has been successfully tested in hundreds of wells throughout North and South America.
Halliburton Energy Services, a Halliburton Company organization, is a leading supplier of products, services and integrated solutions to the energy industry on a global basis.
