Full Visualization And Precise Information With New CAST-V
HOUSTON, Texas - Complete acoustic visualization for acquiring precise information in cased and open hole is now available with a technology developed by Halliburton Energy Services.
The newest generation Circumferential Acoustic Scanning tool, the CAST-V, provides a full sweep of signals in cased hole for simultaneous casing inspection and cement evaluation. The system is combinable with a digital full wave sonic bond log tool for pipe and cement evaluation. CAST-V can also provide complete borehole visualization in open hole for accurate formation evaluation.
A full 360 degree profile can be presented with CAST-V in two- and three-dimensional formats. Powerful imaging analysis software processes the images, histograms and curve-type data from this advanced logging system.
