Halliburton Launches Internet Home Page
HOUSTON, Texas - Halliburton Energy Services is making the most recent information about the company and oil and gas industry available through a new homepage on the Internet's worldwide web. Located at http://www.halliburton.com, the home page also enables users to get information about Halliburton Company and Brown and Root.
The Halliburton Energy Services home page includes information on the latest technology solutions, performance profiles, news releases, worldwide locations, a coiled tubing count and solutions guide, and customer training information. There are also pointers to oil and gas industry association home pages and other useful information available on the web.
In the near future, Halliburton plans to incorporate sound, video and animation files which can be downloaded from within the home page. These will include an interactive FracPac presentation, actual downhole video from Halliburton's Downhole Video Service and the Halliburton Tool Simulator.
According to Dick Teel, vice president and chief information officer for Halliburton Energy Services, the company is part of an information technology revolution in the way it is delivering information to its customers. "We rely heavily on electronic data interchange and electronic mail networks like the Internet to exchange information with our customers. Now, with a home page on the Internet, our customers can quickly and easily tap into our technical expertise and information on our most recent solutions."
