Chevron Awards $200 Million Contract For Multiple Service In Cabinda
CABINDA, Republic of Angola - Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Ltd., a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, as operator on behalf of concessionaire Sonangol U.E.E. and its other foreign partners, Agip Angola Ltd. and Elf Petroleum Angola, has awarded a major contract to Halliburton Energy Services for the provision of multiple services in the Cabinda Concession. The four year contract, valued at $200 million, has two additional one year options for a potential value of $300 million.
The Cabinda Concession is located offshore from the enclave of Cabinda, Angola. The Concession contains over 330 wells in 30 fields, located between 1 and 40 miles offshore. A number of major development projects are planned or are in progress. Halliburton will support growth in both new and existing field development by providing a wide range of products and services for the Cabinda operation including wireline logging, cementing, testing, and completion products.
