Halliburton Introduces Cleanbore System For Cleaner Wellbores With Less Rig Time
HOUSTON, Texas - Halliburton Energy Services is introducing a new system to remove oil-based muds and effectively clean the wellbore in a single pass. Depending on well depth and conditions, the CleanBore System can save 20-30 hours of costly rig time and produce a much cleaner wellbore than conventional cleanout methods.
CleanBore also lowers disposal costs by minimizing contamination of fluids. The system incorporates a high-viscosity, controlled-density fluid designed to reduce intermixing between the mud and cleanout fluid. Due to its effectiveness, completion fluids that follow CleanBore in the hole are far less likely to be contaminated by oil-based mud residues.
The CleanBore System incorporates four special-purpose fluids including a spacer pill, gel pill, brine pill and solvent pill. The system can be formulated with environmentally-friendly components such as DopeBuster E+ Solvents for use in environmentally-sensitive areas.
Halliburton Energy Services, a Halliburton Company organization, is one of the world's leading suppliers of energy products and services. Founded in 1919, the organization provides a broad range of services and products to the energy industry on a global basis.
