Downhole Fluid Identification

Until now, downhole fluid analysis has been limited. Optical analyzers could tell you when your sample was pure enough to collect. Rarely could they tell you which fluid components were present and in what proportions. Understanding the fluid type, composition, and contamination is a critical part of formation testing. Our suite of sensors enables full characterization of the fluid  in your reservoir.

Bubblepoint and Compressibility

Determination of in-situ bubblepoint and compressibility at downhole condition enables you to optimize sampling, determine fluid contacts, and enhance understanding of fluid composition. Bubblepoint and compressibility is used for high-temperature fluid identification up to 450°F (232°C).

Fluid density is the cornerstone of fluid identification and fluid contacts downhole. Our Reservoir Description Tool (RDT™) Fluid Identification Section (FLID) combines the best-in-class, high-resolution density sensor with co-located complementing sensors to accurately measure miscible and immiscible formation fluids.
ICE Core® Fluid Analysis Service
The RDT Integrated Characterization Section (ICS) expands measurements of fluid composition downhole by using ICE Core® fluid analysis technology. Based on a multivariate optical computing technique, this enables high-resolution hydrocarbons composition to be measured.
