Software developers work the full software development life cycle, from coding and testing to troubleshooting, documenting and implementing Halliburton's next-generation software solutions for external clients, as well as for Halliburton's own internal business units.
What you'll do
In addition to designing new software, as a developer, you'll make enhancements to existing applications according to specifications produced by higher-level Halliburton staff and client feedback. Your assignments will vary according to the group you're assigned to, but some of the uses for the software you develop will include:
- Enabling operators to visualize, understand and analyze critical subsurface data
- Helping Halliburton engineers to calculate, analyze and predict the changing conditions throughout the reservoir life cycle
- Making it possible for Halliburton's business units and support functions to more efficiently meet their critical IT-specific business needs.
Who we want
We're looking for detail-oriented problem solvers who are skilled at working on complex technical issues, effectively communicating complex information. You should have a bachelor- or master-level degree in computer science or other IT-related degrees.
