I received my physics degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. As part of the dual-degree program I was in, I transferred to the Missouri University of Science and Technology where I received my industrial engineering degree.

When I graduated, I wanted to work somewhere that would allow me to get a variety of different experiences, across different departments, so that I could grow professionally and expand my career within that company.

I really wanted to be with a company that valued me and allowed me to excel and develop. More than money, the key for me is being happy in what I do every day. I was able to find that at Halliburton.

Initially, I applied for a field engineer position, but, based on some of my leadership experiences in school and other skills, I was referred to the Company's Supply Chain Management Program.

One of the things that drew me to the program was the international experience I could receive, as well as the ability to rotate around to different facilities and cities to get that exposure across various departments that I wanted.

The program is very intense. I work long hours on rigorous projects, but I enjoy it because I know that I am working on a project that impacts the bottom line of the Company.

One of the things that most surprised me about being a part of the program was the level of access and exposure that I received to all levels of management. Through the Supply Chain Management Program, we are able to present our projects to a panel of managers and directors and get direct feedback from them on how we're doing on our project, as well as with our own personal development and growth. Halliburton really rewards you when you do well, and they also push you toward your next achievement.
 
Every day that I come to Halliburton, there's something new to challenge me.
